I've decided to start a new project... A Reverse Trike. What is a reverse trike? It is just as it sounds, a three wheeled vehicle that has two wheels in the front and one in the rear, hence... a "reverse" trike.
I'm starting with a 1986 Yamaha Fazer, it has a 700cc 4 cylnder engine, 4 carbs and a six speed transmission. I'm going to put that motor in a 2001 Yamaha Raptor 660 frame, remove the two back wheels and graft a 2000 Ducati rear frame, swingarm setup to the back to create my trike. I am looking to achieve a low (20" seat height) stance and a wide stance by using aftermarket Raptor 3"wider than stock a-arms, and 2"wheels adaptor, spacers to get the front end wide. I'm using quarter midget body panels to create a custom front end and a sprint car look. The fuel tank will be in the rear of the trike and the look should be very retro / racy.
I'll post some pictures in the next blog. Till then, good luck to all of us.
